The festival trend, I’m obsessed with it. It’s a style that screams Summer fun! I feel like last year is when it really started to go mainstream. I remember combing stores around me and, even online, to find pieces that I could rock. But, I always left empty handed and very disappointed. The shorts were too short and, for the most part, I couldn’t seem to fit into anything.
This year, I’ve made it my mission to find whatever I could to make this trend a reality for plus size women. Whether you feel confident enough to rock a crop top or not, you should definitely have the option to. I’ve had some luck this year with finding some pieces that you can use in your festival wear this year. Enjoy!
This is one of my favorite stores, but for plus size girls, it’s kind of a hit or miss. Sometimes I go in and find plenty of outfits I love. Other times, nothing seems to fit.
With this store, you have to visit often and try on everything. They have a lot of fun festival style clothes to sort through. Here, I’d stick with just tops. I’ve never had luck with their bottoms. They tend to have a lot of oversized blouses that you can pull off. The trick is to find them. Right now, they have a 40% sale off of clearance!
ASOS has a plus size line that really stays on trend. Since it’s online and you can’t try on, really study how the clothes sit on the models to determine if they would fit you well or not. I’ve found most of their shorts fit really well.
Lucky Brand screams festival with just about everything they have. While they do have a plus size brand, you can sometimes find items that fit in their regular sizing. Lucky Brand has a lot of silhouettes that really compliment curves. Plus, they often have great sales!
These are just a few brands you can check out to find some festival clothes. Also, check out Torrid, Nordstrom Rack and Old Navy. They will probably have a few things you can work into an outfit. Here are a few things to look for:
- Fringe
- Neon Colors
- Aztec Print
- Kimonos
If you aren’t having any luck in your search, accessorize. Grab a flower crown and rock a neck full of druzy jewelry. You can hit up Forever 21, H&M or ASOS for fun festival accessories.
Happy hunting! The plus size brands are starting to catch on. Most of all, have a great time this Summer and hit up a few festivals!
