Lashes for Days

For the past few years, I’ve been very serious about my makeup. Somewhere along the line I felt that since I had on extra weight, everything else needed to top notch to compensate for it. That meant flawless makeup, hair and fashion. The problem is, that isn’t always realistic. Especially since being a mom. Looking like a beauty vlogger takes an intense amount of time and it seems to be that I am constantly running behind these days. So, while I really enjoy the chance to experiment and create some fun looks, I had to find a better solution for the moments when I need to leave on a dime.

I’ve noticed a trend that has really taken off. It took a while for me to figure out what exactly was going on but once I did, it consumed me. I’ve always wanted to know why some women look absolutely gorgeous with barely any makeup on. And while some of it can be chocked up to natural beauty I knew there was something I was missing. Luckily, a friend of mine helped me realize what I was seeing. She’s a co-worker of mine and we had an extremely early shift. I had to wake up at 4:00AM which meant I was only doing the bare essentials that day- foundation, eyebrows and mascara. She had done the same but without her usual eyeliner, I noticed how incredibly long and full her eyelashes were. They were beautiful! She didn’t need anything more than mascara to make them stand out. It was natural beauty and I wanted it bad. I asked her what she was doing to get them so long. I had heard of lash extensions but they seemed to be time consuming and expensive, two things that didn’t work for me. She told me she was using the Rodan + Fields lash serum. You’ve probably heard of it yourself. It’s heavily advertised and seems to work wonders. So, I asked her how much she had spent. The answer made my jaw drop. $150 folks. No way was I going to spend that so my eyelashes would get longer.

So, I went back to the drawing board. I certainly wasn’t going to take the time to figure out false lashes, the strategic placement and the glue, oy vey! Extensions were only a temporary solution as well. I began seriously considering that $150 and every time I did, it hurt. So much for luscious lashes but at least they’d be mine and they wouldn’t be temporary. That’s when I decided to share my woes with another friend of mine. I kind of consider her a lash expert. She’s always trying something new and her eyelashes are on point no matter what. She told me about magnetic eyelashes. Have you heard of them? I’d love to try them one day. They seem much easier than traditional falsies. But then she mentioned what I had wanted to hear all along. A lash serum that wouldn’t break the bank. She encouraged me to try Babe Lash. You can order a trial size for around $40– much better than $150! I decided to take the plunge and try it out.

I started noticing a different quickly but it took about a month of everyday use to really start noticing new growth and length. By two months of everyday use, my lashes were the length I never thought was possible on my own. They were amazing! And, the trial size bottle wasn’t even empty yet. So, if you’re looking for a much cheaper solution to get your lashes growing, try Babe Lash. It takes time to really make an impact but if you can commit, it totally pays off!

It needs to be noted some serums can change your actual eye color adding brown specks as well as permantly staining the lid.
