I absolutely love the power of Facebook groups. They allow you to connect with like minded people from all over the world. I’m a member of several groups like some for moms, local city groups and places to shop. I remember when LuLaRoe started changing the game by encouraging people to buy privately online and share the experiences with their friends. I’ve definitely enjoyed that buying format. It feels so much more personal. But LuLaRoe isn’t the only one occupying that space anymore. Here are three of my new favorite Facebook groups you should join now.
This little boutique was recently born by a mom-to-be. She’s a friend of mine who used to help her mom run a boutique in Gruene. Now branching out on her own, she’s proving she has what it takes to run a successful business. We all know how hard it is to find stylish plus size clothing, especially items that are affordable. The Pearled Peony has it all with several items ranging from $15-$30. That gives Target a run for their money! It’s easy to shop and I’ve already been happy with several of the pieces I’ve purchased.
Remember that boutique in Gruene I was telling you about? Well it’s moved its store front to be solely online. I loved stopping in the shop and taking advantage of their amazing sales so when I found out they had a VIP Bargain Group, I freaked! Often you can snag items at a low price in auctions or take advantage of major sales like claiming this dress I only paid $10 for!
You can also participate in pre-orders. I love this group and its many chances to get store credit and save on plus size clothing.
Okay, it was a total given that I would claim this as the last group you should be a part of. We have over a hundred wonderful women who participate in encouraging each other online, asking advice and posting fashion tips. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to connect with others in the plus size community. Plus, we’ll be starting an online discussion over Chrissy Metz’s new book, “This is Me,” starting in May. We’d love for you to be a part of it!
